Full description:
Rio is a British Shorthair, approximately [age] years old, with brown fur, bright green eyes, and a distinctive black tip at the end of his tail. He is microchipped.
Temperament:
Rio is very nervous and easily frightened — especially by loud noises and loud talking. He will not approach strangers and is likely to run and hide rather than come when called by someone he doesn't know. If you see a cat matching this description, please do not chase or call loudly — simply note the exact location and contact us immediately. He responds well to chicken or cat treats, so leaving some out nearby (without approaching him) may help keep him in the area until we arrive.
How he went missing:
Rio went missing from our garden/property on Hunts Close, Guildford, GU2 8LS on the morning of 14/09/2026, at approximately 05:50am. He is not known to have wandered this far before, and we believe he is hiding nearby out of fear rather than having travelled a long distance.
